Welcome to the Wichita Academy of Pharmacists (WAP) Foundation!

Mission
The mission of the WAP Foundation is to invest in the development of area pharmacists and the Wichita community by providing educational opportunities, student scholarship, and philanthropic aid.

Purpose
The WAP Foundation is a 501(c)3 public charitable organization whose purpose is to support pharmacy students, professional pharmacy education, and community growth. This is achieved through activities such as sponsorship of student scholarships, professional education seminars, and community service activities.

History
Founded in 2017, the WAP Foundation originated from the need for a charitable outlet for the Wichita Academy of Pharmacists. The Wichita Academy of Pharmacists is a professional organization composed of pharmacists from Wichita and surrounding areas and from all types of pharmacy practice settings (community, health-system, long-term care, consulting, industry, academia, etc). The WAP Foundation was established to be a separate organization that allows tax sheltered charitable donations and planned giving, so that pharmacy practice may thrive in the Wichita area now and in the future.
